Designer Sergio Hudson looked to the iconic Inkwell Beach on Martha’s Vineyard for inspiration when creating his Spring 2024 collection, which he unveiled in Los Angeles. While he’s known for his standout shows at New York Fashion Week, this marked his first appearance at LA Fashion Week. The collection was a perfect fit for the city’s warm weather, showcasing a palette of creamy whites and camels in clean, timeless designs.
Hudson focused on crafting pieces that felt light and breathable while still reflecting the structured style his brand is known for. He chose luxurious silk for his midi dresses and incorporated materials like silk charmeuse, stretch cotton, denim, and Italian eyelet to bring variety and texture to the collection.
At the event, Claire Sulmers, CEO of Fashion Bomb and now a Los Angeles resident, made a statement on the red carpet in a striking aqua blue outfit from the Sergio Hudson Collection. Her look featured a long-sleeve turtleneck, a wrap skirt, and a sleek trench coat, all paired with matching stockings and clear heels.
Sulmers also caught up with fashion legend Bethann Hardison, fresh off the celebration of her film “Invisible Beauty.” She mingled with other notable figures in the fashion world, including Ciarra Pardo, legendary Damon, Shannon Thornton, and Margie Plus.
The runway show introduced a range of eye-catching new styles, followed by a lively cocktail hour. The event not only showcased Hudson’s impressive design skills but also created a vibrant space for fashion lovers to connect and share ideas.
